☀️ Solar Charging

The Zappi's signature feature. Connect to your solar panels and charge your EV using excess solar energy your panels generate during the day.

🌿 Eco+ Mode

In Eco+ mode, the Zappi prioritises surplus solar energy and adjusts charging to make the most of what your panels generate. The greenest way to charge your electric vehicle.

⚡ Multiple Modes

Fast mode for quick charging from the grid. Eco mode blends grid and solar. Eco+ mode for pure solar charging. Switch between modes on the unit or via the app.

📊 Energy Monitoring

Real-time energy monitoring via the myenergi app. Track exactly how much you're spending and saving on every charge session.

★★★★★

"They advised a Zappi would be a great fit seeing as we already had solar panels. Arrived on time, very polite and talked us through best positioning. We can now charge the car for a fraction of the price of public charging — winner!"

Frequently Asked Questions — Zappi

How much does Zappi installation cost? +

The Zappi V2 is available from £1,399 fully installed. This includes the charger, professional installation, all cabling, NICEIC certification and a full demonstration of all charging modes.

Do I need solar panels to use a Zappi? +

No — the Zappi works perfectly well as a standard smart charger without solar panels. However, its solar charging features are the main reason most people choose it. If you're planning to install solar panels in future, a Zappi is a great future-proof investment.

What's the difference between Eco and Eco+ mode? +

Eco mode blends surplus solar energy with grid power to maintain a minimum charge rate. Eco+ mode only uses 100% surplus solar — your EV won't charge unless there's enough solar being generated. Eco+ can mean slower or intermittent charging on cloudy days but it's the greenest option.

Is the Zappi compatible with battery storage systems? +

Yes — the Zappi integrates well with battery storage systems like Powerwall and GivEnergy. The myenergi ecosystem (which includes the Zappi) is designed to work holistically with solar and storage.

Does Zappi work with Octopus Energy? +

Yes — the Zappi is compatible with Octopus Go and Agile tariffs and can be scheduled to charge at the cheapest overnight rates. It doesn't have native Octopus Intelligent integration like the Ohme, but it works well with smart tariff scheduling.
