Frequently Asked Questions — Ohme Home Pro

How much does Ohme Home Pro installation cost? +

The Ohme Home Pro starts from £1,099 fully installed — our most affordable option. This includes the charger unit, professional installation, all cabling, NICEIC certification and a full setup demonstration including app configuration.

Does the Ohme work with Octopus Intelligent? +

Yes — the Ohme Home Pro is one of a small number of chargers that natively integrates with Octopus Intelligent Go. This means Octopus can directly control your Ohme to charge during your cheapest off-peak slots. Charging overnight on a dedicated EV tariff is one of the most cost-effective ways to charge your EV at home.

What other energy tariffs work with the Ohme? +

The Ohme works with Octopus Intelligent, Octopus Go, British Gas EV Tariff, EDF GoElectric, E.ON Next Drive and most other smart EV tariffs. It can also use a simple time-of-use schedule to charge at off-peak rates on any tariff.

What's the difference between Ohme and Andersen? +

The Ohme Home Pro (from £1,099) is the smart, affordable choice with the best tariff integration. The Andersen A3 (from £1,499) is the premium choice with a beautiful design, hidden cable storage and premium finishes. Both are excellent chargers — the right choice depends on your priorities and budget.

Can the Ohme be used with solar panels? +

The Ohme Home Pro does support solar panel integration via the Ohme app and compatible inverters. However, if solar charging is your primary concern, we'd recommend the Zappi which is purpose-built for solar EV charging.
